The Boeing Company
OBJECTIVES: The Boeing Company wanted to promote its association with NASA space exploration programs by presenting an exhibit partly based on its Rocketdyne Museum display to the floor of WESTEC, the annual meeting of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
SOLUTIONS: Large walls featuring oversized graphic images of the U.S. space shuttle and satellite technology were constructed using aluminum uprights and modular panels, and large Boeing-branded headers. Audio and interactive kiosk presentations were incorporated throughout the exhibit to guide attendees through the presentation. Scale models of the shuttle and its launch rockets were also included.
RESULTS: The combination of space exploration imagery and high technology attracted a far higher than anticipated level of foot-traffic.
