American Suzuki Motor Corporation
OBJECTIVE:: To emphasize the high quality and durability of its automotive products, American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) decided to place its sports utility and standard vehicles in a rugged, yet stylish, exhibit setting that would support both product lines.
SOLUTIONS: The exhibits boasted aluminum sub-structures with vacuform acrylic top surfaces. A faux polished stone finish was employed to achieve the desired aesthetic effect. The exhibit properties were shipped using rolling aluminum crates specially outfitted to double as assembly jigs. This turnkey assembly process enabled workers to easily lift the lightweight displays into place. Two auto show exhibit kits were built and used at sixteen events annually.
RESULTS: The sturdy, high-end appeal of the displays allowed ASMC to achieve a dominant presence at auto shows nationwide. The exhibits program was credited with helping to greatly increase ASMC’s vehicle sales during a time when other automotive manufacturers dominated the U.S. market.
